Previewing green films from the Sydney Film Festival

Previewing green films from the Sydney Film Festival

When is it?

Tuesday 1st of June 2010, 6:00pm.

Where is it?

Oxford Art Factory, 42 Oxford St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010.

What is it?

We’ve partnered up with the Sydney Film Festival for GreenUps on 1 June.

The festival runs from June 2 – 14 and will feature a number of interesting new environmentally-focussed films. We’ll be previewing some on the night and giving away tickets to see them (just drop your business card at the door to be in the running).

The venue for our event is the Oxford Art Factory, 42 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst (it’s in the first block up from Hyde Park).

To give you a taste, here’s an intro to the green films in the festival:
Gasland
Colony
Wasteland
Cane Toads: The Conquest

Turtle: An Incredible Journey

The Rainbow Warriors of Waiheke Island

We’re also planning to lay on some simple food on the night, so to cover costs there may be a small door charge (no more than $10).

Looking forward to seeing you on the 1st!

Note that the Sydney Film Festival starts 2 June – the next day! There’s plenty more on in the festival that’s worth checking out by the way.

Big thanks to Clare Stewart, the Festival Director, and the SFF team for supporting Green Drinks.
