What is it?
April GreenUps poses the question to three sustainable business ‘doers’ in the fields of responsible an ethical investment, renewable energy and sustainable transportation – is 2010 the year of transportation to a more sustainable economy?
To address the question, each of the three speakers will have five minutes atop a milk crate to take the mic and give us something to be excited about.

About the speakers
Ben Keneally – Better Place
Ben leads marketing and strategy at Better Place Australia – a company committed to ending Australia’s dependence on oil for transport. His focus is on working with Better Place R&D and with Better Place suppliers to deliver products and services that make electric cars affordable to buy, easy to use and amazing to own. Ben has spent his career moving across the private and public sectors, focused on delivering large, transformative projects. He thinks this is the most exciting and by far the coolest.
Anthony Bertini – Thumper One
Rated by B&T Marketing Magazine as one of the Top 10 Most Influential People as a Founder and CEO of BMC Media Group, Anthony is a highly respected Australian entrepreneur with extensive experience working with government and business to identify new revenue channels and incubate innovative technologies. Anthony’s company, Thumper One is a corporate advisory practice that incubates innovative technologies, invests in start-ups and raises capital. Thumper One has invested in; established and holds directorships with Wavefront Biometric Technology, Project Genesis Foundation, The Because Group and the Sydney Biennale.
Louise O’Halloran – Responsible Investment Association Australasia
Louise was appointed Executive Director of RIAA in 2002. Prior to this, she worked in senior management roles in the not for profit sector in Sydney, Los Angeles and London including General Manager of Belvoir St Theatre in Sydney, and General Manager of the Australian National Playwrights Centre. She has an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, a BA in journalism from Charles Sturt University and spent three years in postgraduate studies at UNSW in business ethics. Louise is a Governor of WWF and a consulting editor for the world’s first RI journal, the Journal for Sustainable Finance and Investment.
